Desktop PC Full Cleaning -

This is our standard service. A lot of people are willing to do external only (see below) on their own devices but when it comes to opening the case and doing a deep clean that's when the professionals are called in. It involves powering down the device (never clean with the device running, even if only dusting), opening the case, and scrubbing the caked on dust from internal components. Inside and out are polished in detail (except the power supply, see CLEANING TIPS), and it even includes screen, keyboard*, and mouse cleaning. We use special cleaners and techniques to ensure cleaning is thorough but gentle.

Duration: 1 hr*

Cost: $70 per unit (Don't pay that much! See volume discount at the bottom of this page!)

*keyboard is wiped and sprayed but keys are left on, cleaning times are approximate

PC External Only -

Good to do in between deep cleans, or for machines that simply aren't that dirty. This involves spraying the computer with canned air, and wiping the outside of the machine. We take special care to make sure air intakes are free of dust and clogs. The most important part (also for Apple and laptop computers listed below) is for any fans that can be accessed from the outside to be scrubbed free of dust. An all around good preventative measure to extend the life of your device.

Cost: $35 per unit

Laptops and Macs -

Laptop and Apple computers are serviced the same way as PC External Only listed above. Many laptops can be easily opened but this is typically only done to upgrade or replace parts. Apple products however, (aka Macs) are generally designed to be inaccessible without specific tools. We don't open the cases on these devices except in special circumstances, but all the steps for an external desktop cleaning can be applied. Includes screen, keyboard*, and mouse.

Large Device External Only -

Think large office copiers and big televisions, things of that nature. As with computers we dust, wipe, and ensure air intakes are open and clean. They have a greater surface area than a PC, but the quicker hardware check and lack of fans and accessories actually makes these devices faster and slightly cheaper to clean.

Cost: $23 per unit

Medium Device External Only -

This covers desktop printers, scanners, gaming consoles, medium size tvs and monitors (40" or less) electronic cash registers, etc. Any mid sized electronic. All the same care must be taken as with larger devices, but the smaller size reduces cost.

Duration: 15 min*

Cost:$17.50

Small Device External Only -

This category is basically just for tablets and phones. They don't need to be powered down and have no intakes or fans to worry about. We just wipe the surfaces and spray out inputs. Really anyone can do this, I'll even just give you a couple of the special wipes if you want. But if you're getting a computer done anyway and want to feel fancy we're happy to oblige.

Special Cases -

I said we normally don't open up the case on laptops, consoles, phones, pretty much anything except desktop PCs. And we don't, normally. But if you have a special circumstance, lets say you spilled a liquid on your keyboard and need the keys taken off and the device deep cleaned, contact us with a brief description and we'll get you a quote. The truth is, it's a great idea to deep clean a keyboard. But it's tedious, and the time it takes is cost prohibitive. Deep cleaning an $800 PC every two or three years for $70 makes sense, but most keyboards cost less than the cost of professional cleaning. We're working to streamline the process, but for now that's considered a special case. If you spilled a liquid in something or have extreme dust and dirt that canned air won't touch, we'll see what we can do. I once saw a phone with literal mold growing inside, yuck.

Thermal Paste-

Thermal paste would also be a special case scenario. It can be time consuming and is more invasive than just cleaning, especially for consoles. Opening the case on a console can be difficult, often requires special tools, and almost always voids the warranty. But if the warranty is already up and the thing is constantly overheating anyway it's certainly worth trying. It varies considerably per device but ball-park for replacing thermal paste would be $75-100, with a steep discount to add on a cleaning since we've already opened up the case anyway.

Volume Discount-

If you're interested in saving some money, and not planning on buying 8 or 9 more computers anytime soon, take a look at our volume discount. It can cut your bill literally almost in half. This is simply because driving 10-15 min to clean a single computer just isn't that efficient. We're happy to do it, but if you know anyone else nearby who wants to book a cleaning around the same date and time, you will both receive a hefty discount. You don't have to pay together, but by booking together you get the most out of our service. Just follow the protocol shown on our BEFORE BOOKING page. Here's a rundown of the Volume Discount:

Note that the price structure is for deep cleaning desktop computers (our main focus). But this volume discount applies to all of our cleaning services, regardless of device type or duration. So for every $70 worth of cleaning, another 5% discount is applied to the whole order, up to 45% off. Yes, cleaning in high volume is that much more efficient.

Also, when deciding whether or not professional cleaning is the way you want to go, remember that most computers really only need to be deep cleaned every couple years. So if you manage to whittle down to that $38.50 per unit price, that's only $19.25 per year to make your devices run smoother and last longer.

When coordinating with multiple parties to achieve the volume rate, have everyone select the time frame they'd like, then elect one person to be the main contact. This way all parties can be grouped together in a single booking so we can reserve one large block of time, and we can service the devices in whatever order you agree on. As for what "nearby" means; the general idea is offices in the same building, or next door neighbors, things like that. But anywhere within a 2 minute walk would qualify.
